Partial Dentures

Overview

Removable partial dentures may be used where there are still some teeth remaining in the mouth. Replacement teeth are attached to a pink or gum-colored plastic base, which is connected by a rigid metal framework that holds the denture in place in the mouth by clasping onto the adjacent crowns.

As an alternative, using a flexible base the denture can adapt to the constant movement and flexibility in the mouth. Moreover,it is virtually invisible because there are no telltale metal clasps to cover patient's natural teeth. Furthermore, most flexible materials blend with the tissue in the mouth so that the only thing that shows is a  beautiful smile.
