Overview

You might have baggy eyelids usually with advancing age but sometimes at a younger age due to genetic or environmental factors. 

This can be corrected with eyelid aesthetics. In this procedure, excess skin and fat tissue is removed from the upper and lower eyelids. 

However, the amount of tissue removed should be well planned and sometimes only repositioned. A properly performed surgery gives the patient a younger appearance. Eye aesthetics are performed usually under local anesthesia. The incision for the upper eyelid is placed under the skin fold on the eyelid. Therefore, when the eye is open, no scar tissue is visible. The lower eyelid incision is made just under the eyelashes leaving invisible scar formation and good healing. Other problems affecting the eyelid functions during the eyelid cosmetic surgery should be well considered. In cases where there are problems such as lax or drropy eyelids, such problems should be addressed in the same session.
